About YECCA

The Yass Early Childhood Centre Association (YECCA) is a community-based preschool that has been in operation since 1953. We have a wonderful history of providing care and education to the families of Yass and the rural surroundings. Due to our long existence in Yass, we have a strong community involvement – this connection is invaluable and one you don’t get in the big cities!

We also manage the Binalong Mobile Preschool, which offers early childhood education for children aged 2-5 years, who are toilet trained, at Binalong on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Our team of dedicated and qualified staff is the backbone of the care and education we provide at YECCA. We have a great team, with a wonderful work history at YECCA. Our educators are committed to lifelong learning and are passionate about their jobs.

Our program is based upon the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0, which is all about Belonging, Being and Becoming. At YECCA, we value each child as the unique individual they are – each child brings to our program a richness of diversity. We value family uniqueness and encourage family participation at YECCA. The parent roster is a great way to come and spend some time with your child at preschool and see how they learn through play. Joining the YECCA Board is another way to be actively involved in the governance of the centre and offers a great chance to give back to the centre, meet new people and gain new skills.

4 year old Preschool – Monday to Friday
3 year old Preschool – Wednesday & Thursday
0-3 year old Day Care – Monday, Tuesday & Friday

Binalong

2-5 year old Preschool – Wednesday & Thursday

Children must be toilet trained to attend Binalong Mobile Preschool.
